The Clowncil have been asleep at the wheel over closure of SILVERKNOWES Road since April 2020 and we have emailed AuditScotland to ask for answers as to why one Emergency Traffic Regulation Order (ETRO) and 2 Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders (TTRO) have been allowed causing 3 times 18 months of closures and with no Stage 3 Safety Audit in place even one week after a cyclist accident where they are now 90 percent disabled. The whole closure of SILVERKNOWES Road highlights why nothing can get done sensibly or quickly and why Edinburgh and Scotland and UK are in such a bureaucratic mess with over regulation and too many people taking salaries for little positive effort. Get a grip. We stand with this bookshop and call out the system, the weak politicians and the officers and public servants who create stupid burdens on society. Shame on you all. Get Edinburgh moving upwards not backwards! Common sense first! the Edinburgh Evening News has given no coverage to the farce of SILVERKNOWES Road so please get out of bed and wake up! Local politicians have been asleep as well demonstrating weak local influence. Live the dream.
