The Oyster & B**r Festival⚓
Campervan Brewery and welcome you to the taproom this Saturday to celebrate the start of oyster season with live bluegrass, limited-edition b**r, and our oyster bar. Just head to the link in our bio to pre-order your oysters so you don't miss out!

Taproom Yoga With Peach🍑
After the sold-out success of our first Taproom Yoga With Peach, we are holding another class on the 25th of October from 10:30 AM until 11:30 AM. Remember to bring your mat and grab your free hot drink at the end of your session beside our cosy taproom fire to ward off the autumnal chill. Tickets are live in the bio, but spaces are limited, so grab yours while you can.

Ever wanted to talk about space and drink b**r? Astronomy On Tap is your ideal night out. Join us at the taproom to take a deep dive into space (where no one can hear you scream) on Wednesday, the 28th of October, with Astronomy On Tap spooky edition!. This is a free event, so bring your space head friends for a night of quizzes, prizes and talks with renowned local astronomers!

Meet Sophie! Creator of the Wuthering D***s book club, held on the last Wednesday of the month at Campervan Tap from 19:00 pm📖

"I'm Sophie, a witchy Libra who insists on wearing winged eyeliner at all times. I'm originally from Brighton and moved to Edinburgh after studying for a Master's in Gothic Literature. I'm passionate about building q***r community and finding the best wh***ey soda in Leith."

What motivated you to start Wuthering D***s?🎃

"I started Wuthering D***s because I wanted to meet other sapphics! I didn't really have q***r community before moving here, and I was determined to find my people. Not only that, but it felt important to have a space where like-minded q***rs could hang out on a regular basis and bond over a shared passion for books."

Highlights so far and plans for the future?🍁

"Genuinely, one of the biggest highlights is seeing how many people show up to the book club each month. I never dreamed that I would be surrounded by 50+ q***rs in one room! It still makes my gay heart happy when I see newcomers form friendships and then turn up together at the next event."

"Another big highlight was hosting more author events this year, especially when we were lucky enough to collaborate with amazing radical organisations like Lighthouse Bookshop and Lavender Menace."

"I'm really looking forward to our upcoming events. We've got our first sapphic speed dating event and a local bookshop crawl around Leith, as well as some surprises..."

"I'm so proud of how much the book club has evolved over the past year or so, and I'm excited to see what 2027 brings for Wuthering D***s!"

"As it's spooky season, I have to recommend 'Eyes Guts Throat Bones' by Moïra Fowley. It's a sapphic short story collection full of creepy tales and body horror with a folktale twist."

"If you're more into classic horror, you must read 'Carmilla' by Sheridan Le Fanu.
It's a sapphic vampire novel written in 1872 and is believed to have inspired Dracula."

"My non-horror must-read would have to be 'Never Let Me Go' by Kazuo Ishiguro. It's a beautiful book that can't really be described until you've read it, but it WILL rip your heart out."

We are super excited to welcome to our taproom this month! October's spooky pick is Shirley Jackson's The Haunting of Hill House. So grab your book and your pint and start your October off right!

Fell Brewery tap takeover + Bandits Burgers pop-up🍻
As part of an upcoming collaboration brew, we're hosting for a tap takeover on Thursday, the 8th of October. We'll have 5 of Fell's finest spread across our keg and cask lines, and our friends at will also be on site, serving up locally sourced patties to keep the cold at bay.

"I have been meditating every day for the past 8 years; meditation has been life-changing for me."

"I was born in Hong Kong and lived in many different countries before arriving in Scotland at age ten. Scotland is one of my favourite places!"

"I'm a singer-songwriter and musician. Music is my biggest passion. I record and produce my own music too! I taught myself guitar at age 11, and I have been writing songs since I was 14. I have been performing for over 20 years now! I have been learning piano over the past two years, and I've started writing songs on it too. I also play the ukulele, melodica, and a bit of mandolin and own seven guitars."

"I've worked with many talented musicians over the years; most recently, I wrote and sang backing vocals on the closing track 'Lost Soul' on Silibil's (Billy Boyd) debut album." (Fun fact—the film California Schemin' is about Billy's life as a rap artist!).

"I graduated with an honours degree in music last October, and I was awarded graduate of the year. This was an unexpected but pleasant surprise! I plan to do a master's in the next couple of years. I also studied art for three years; I would eventually like to go back and do an interdisciplinary arts degree."

"I LOVE food, and I love cooking. If I'm not cooking myself dinner, you will find me on a solo date at one of my favourite restaurants."

"My favourite band is Radiohead, so if you come to one of my classes, expect at least three of my favourite Radiohead songs on my playlist."

All three events are free and consist of two presentations on astronomical topics – from how stars are born, to the science of science fiction and Scotland’s role in the space sector.✨
