🌸🧶 Calling all crafters 🧶🌸

Do you have a little time to spare over the next few days? Why not help the Friends of Saughton Park brighten up the band stand for their family fun day on 8th August by creating some beautiful knitted or crocheted flowers?

Your handmade flowers will help transform the bandstand into a colourful community display for everyone to enjoy. 🌺

💡Did you know the Water of Leith has powered industry in Edinburgh for centuries? From grain and sugar to cloth and leather, it’s long been at the heart of the city’s story 💧

Today, it’s still working hard, generating renewable energy through the hydroelectric scheme in Saughton Park, helping power the buildings around it… including our café 🌱

The café is now open from 9am on weekends and 9:30 weekdays.

We’ll be open until 5pm every day (kitchen closes at 4pm for takeaway only)

Wow – Saughton Park is putting on a real show right now 🌹
The roses are looking absolutely stunning and are well worth a visit while they’re at their best. Even on a grey day, they bring such a lift to the park.
