We’ve also just had a late cancellation tonight for tonight so we’ve now got a table for up to 4 people available between 7:30-8:15.

We always like to stay ahead of recruitment wherever possible so we’re looking forward to September when there will be a position opening up in the kitchen.

We’re very lucky to have a couple of previous team members in town this summer to help out in the kitchen over the festival but they will be leaving Edinburgh at the start of September.

As a result, we will have a part time chef/KP position available.

This position would suit someone with existing experience just looking to top up their hours but also, it would be ideal for a young KP or commis chef looking to learn more in a new environment.

Your role would include some occasional KP duties in addition to prep & service shifts alongside our current chef team.

Hours are negotiable and we can be flexible with working days for the right person. In all likelihood though, your weekly shifts would not exceed 20 hours and would probably be made up mainly of single evening shifts with the possibility of an occasional split shift at the weekend.

We would like to fill the role from September but if the right candidate appears before that, there is the possibilty for shifts to begin during August.

Do you love wine?

Would you like to join our front of house team?

Our current restaurant manager is moving on and we have a position opening up.

This is a full time position and would suit someone with a genuine interest in working with wine. Whilst this position would suit someone who has previously worked at a management level and already has a strong level of existing experience with wine, we would also be happy to hear from someone more junior who is confident they are ready to make the step to management.

In this position, you will be involved in the set up and running of service as well as serving wine and helping to manage the wine list. You will have significant input into the content of the list and the freedom to work with a wide range of wine suppliers.

Weekly working hours for the role are approximately 40, generally over 4 days, with 2 double shifts and 2 single shifts. We can be flexible with the weekly schedule for the correct candidate though.

Training and time to develop in the role will be provided but the most important thing we are looking for is a passion for wine and the correct attitude required to work within a small team.

Wage/salary is negotiable dependant on experience but guide wage would be £14-16 per hour and we would also be willing to discuss a salary of around £30-33k if that is preferable. Tips for this position are estimated at £5-6k per year in addition to wage/salary.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused but we have to close tonight.

We’re doing our best to get the necessary repairs completed but it’s going to be tomorrow at the earliest by the looks of things.

We are currently trying to contact all guests to make them aware.

Not having a good run of it with things breaking down at the moment but at least the sun is out.

We have an opening for a senior Front of House member.

This will be a full time position and would be ideal for someone with a strong interest in wine. Previous experience at this level within the industry will be required.

Open for dinner on Tuesday from this week!

Tuesday menus each week will combine our bar and restaurant menus to provide a quick & affordable option for anyone looking for an easy midweek dinner. Don’t worry though, we’ll still have plenty on offer for anyone wanting to go all out.

Just as a reminder too… we’re offering £10 corkage (£20 on larger bottles) on Tuesdays for any of you looking to bring a bottle with you. There’s a limit of 2 bottles per table on this but with so many great local off licences around town why not support one of them and pop in to grab a bottle on the way.

Corkage on Tuesdays!

From next week we’ll be opening on Tuesday evenings and as a one off for Tuesday nights, you’ll be welcome to bring a bottle with you.

If you’ve got a nice bottle hidden away somewhere and you’re looking for something delicious to eat with it then this might be the perfect opportunity.

Corkage rules are as follows:
£10 for standard bottle sizes
£20 larger format bottles
2 bottle limit per table
