Our cafe in Polwarth opened in January 2011 and has recently had a nice little revamp. We hope you like our vibe. We also have an outside catering business and can cater for private events in the cafe. The name for the business came from our childhood, where our Dads and Grandfathers would take their sandwiches to work in a box. (translation from the Scots - a 'piece' is a sandwich, and a 'piecebox' is a lunch box !)

Hi everyone

Sadly due to staff shortages after two key members left to return to their native homes, I’ve had to close today.

I’ve tried to recruit but so far no success and I can’t do it myself!

Really sad as we’ve had a fantastically busy weekend and Piecebox was buzzing!

IMPORTANT

Sadly, today I’ve had to close the doors on Piecebox for an indefinite period of time.

Key staff have left to return to their native homes and, despite trying to recruit, I’ve not managed to replace them.
I can’t do it myself 🥲

I will continue to do my best to re-open in the next few weeks.

Thanks to everyone who visited this weekend, it was lovely to be so busy and Piecebox had a fab buzz about it.

I’ll keep you posted!
