Our current Staff Pick at The Abbotsford: the Highland Park Whisky 12-Year-Old.

Ell chose it before he jetted back to Australia — proof he has good taste, even if he couldn’t stay.

It’s a spicy, well rounded Orkney single malt with notes of heather honey, citrus and subtle peat smoke on a mellow, balanced finish.

Ell’s pick, worth a dram at the bar.

Our Malt of the Moment this June is The Scapa Distillery 10-Year-Old.

A sophisticated single malt matured in ex-American oak, with subtle notes of fresh tropical fruit.

Founded in 1885 overlooking Scapa Flow in Orkney, Scapa is one of Scotland’s most northerly distilleries.

Available by the dram for £5.60 throughout June.

We've introduced a rotating selection of cask cider from Thistly Cross Cider, made just along the coast in East Lothian.

Expect anything from their crisp, clean Traditional to the floral Elderflower or the fruity Strawberry.
Ask what's on when you're at the bar and take it from there.

The Abbotsford has stood here since the early 1900s, its ornate ceiling and carved wood still intact. Built with purpose and kept that way, it carries its history in the details.

Much has changed around it. Inside, it holds its ground.

Calum’s pick behind the bar:

Tobermory Distillery 12-Year-Old, a single malt from the Isle of Mull, brings a softer, fruit-led style with layers that open up as you go. Expect citrus and orange, a touch of vanilla and spice, and a gentle sweetness that carries through to a long, balanced finish.

Well-rounded and easy to return to, it’s a dram that suits a slower pace.
