We Italians are not very good at choosing when pizza is involved.

One for you, one for me, one “for the table”… and suddenly we’ve ordered half the menu.

Our advice? Don’t waste valuable eating time trying to decide. Order both, put them in the middle and let everybody fight for their favourite slice 😂🤌

There are pizzas flying out of the oven all day at 1926, but every now and then you need to give the pizza a night off.

That’s when the lasagne comes in.

Made in-house, layered properly, baked until golden on top and brought to the table still bubbling and melting away underneath.

The sort of plate that makes our little Dalry restaurant feel even more like an Italian family kitchen.

And yes, we know you came in thinking pizza...

Ham, mushrooms, artichokes, olives… because asking an Italian to choose just one topping is simply unreasonable.

A little bit of everything, and somehow everybody at the table still has their eye on the same slice 👀

Asking us to choose a favourite pizza is like asking an Italian parent to choose a favourite child.

We have an answer, obviously.

But we’re not telling you 🇮🇹😂

So instead, here are a few that have been looking particularly beautiful coming out of the oven lately.

Different toppings, different personalities, same proper Neapolitan dough and the same 1926 love behind every one.

Our advice? Bring enough people, order a few for the middle and avoid choosing altogether 🤌🍕

The streets have been packed, the tables have been full and we’ve loved welcoming locals, visitors and plenty of hungry festival-goers through our doors this August.

Pork sausage, creamy ricotta, smoked provola and friarielli. A combination that needs absolutely no explaining if you've ever eaten pizza in Napoli.
