Here’s our staff and the mayor with our trophy at the Visit Eastleigh, Eastleigh BID awards.

Two members were missing due to booking a holiday while the awards were on!

Still so pleased with our prize.

Thank you again ❤️

So.. we won this tonight at the Visit Eastleigh, Eastleigh BID awards night.

So pleased to confirm that we have won cafe of the year for the first time!

We were joint winner with Poppins who also deserve congratulations for winning.

It’s a huge honour to have won something like this, we always love seeing customers through our door each day who help us keep ticking over.

Also a huge thank you to our staff who work hard each day to make sure the cafe can perform to a high standard every day.

Thank you 🤩 ❤️

So we’ve noticed in the last few weeks that people have been walking past the shop but unable to see the menu..

That has now changed!

You can now see our menus on our windows when you past our shop.

Hopefully this change will allow people to see what they are looking for before coming in!

Our pubs, restaurants, cafes, hotels, nightclubs and many more, are at the heart of our communities.

They bring people together and bring life to our cities, towns and villages, but they're under huge pressure from rising costs.

In the UK, you pay one of the highest VAT rates in Europe. 20% extra in VAT for your meal out or stay away. In France, Spain and Italy, it's 10%. In Germany? 7%.

Our message to Government is simple. Let's stand together to say VAT at 10% is fair for hospitality.

Please keep safe in this heat.

We would love to see you but we know the heat will be a struggle for some customers.

Also please keep your pets safe too, the weather this week will be quite dangerous to animals.

Keep safe everyone ☀️
