Our diverse entertainment programme offers a range of artistes and music styles; with two restaurants and on-site Hotel accommodation it's the perfect package for an entertainment break. The Club offers a diverse entertainment programme presenting live music of various genres five nights a week, including jazz, tribute bands and DJs plus cabaret dinners, fashion shows, charity quiz nights, and many other events.. World famous for jazz the club is the winner of Brecon Jazz the Blue Plaque Award – voted by the public as the venue most significant in the history and development of British Jazz. Still under the same ownership, the Club celebrated its 55th anniversary in 2012. Some people mistakenly think we were named after the aeroplane infact ‘Concorde’ was taken from a piece of music written by John Lewis (who named it after Place de la Concorde in Paris) and released on LP by the Modern Jazz Quartet around 1955.

CHRISTMAS PARTY NIGHT at THE CONCORDE with SHOWADDYWADDY

One of the finest rock & roll bands of the 1970s, Showaddywaddy also proved to be one of the most successful and enduring.

The group entered and won television's "New Faces” talent show in 1974. Their many hits include, "When”, "I Wonder Why”, "Pretty Little Angel Eyes”, "A Little Bit of Soap”, "Hey Rock And Roll”, "Rock 'n' Roll Lady”, as well as several covers that include Eddie Cochran’s "Three Steps to Heaven”, Buddy Holly's "Heartbeat”, Sam Cooke's "Chain Gang”, interspersed with Showaddywaddy's own note and stylistically perfect originals.

"Under the Moon of Love” gave the group their first British number 1 hit in 1976. They continued racking up further hits into the early '80s, even presiding over (and outliving) a whole new generation of rock & roll revival acts!

Join us for an evening of classic Jazz and Blues, returning performer Ma Bessie aka Julia Titus on vocals, George Webster on piano, Clare Hirst on Saxophone, Lucky Luke on Drums and Dominic Geraghty on Bass.

This versatile quintet delivers the atmosphere of a prohibition-era speakeasy with a repertoire spanning from 1920’s classics to contemporary songs with vintage styling. Music from Bessie Smith, Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday among other legends.
