What a way to kick off Eastbourne Airshow 2026!✈️ 🇬🇧

Today,we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming Nigel Reid and John Dodd from the Firebirds Display Team to Malayalam Restaurant. ✈️✨

Two incredible pilots flying two incredible aircrafts(UK based civilian aerobatic duo flying two Van’s RV-4 kit planes)These are the men behind one of the most spectacular aerial displays you’ll see over Eastbourne tomorrow!They had the show today too!
We were incredibly proud to have them sitting at our table,enjoying our food,chatting with everyone and sharing stories of aviation❤️
We were especially touched by their kind words about our food,service and even more delighted when they told us they’ll be back tomorrow…and hopefully again next year! 🥰

Throughout,we saw people recognising them,stopping for a chat and other people even treating them to drinks such a lovely reflection of the excitement they bring to our town.✈️🍻

And yes!Nigel and John,you’ve officially become part of the Malayalam family❤️
