Saturday plans? Sorted.

Start with a walk along East Preston beach, stop for a coffee, convince yourself you’re “just having a quick look at the menu” and then somehow end up with a steak sandwich in your hand.

Classic seaside logic.

We’re open from 8am for coffee, breakfast, lunch, ice creams and all the little Saturday beach essentials.

The bit you don’t usually see…

Before the coffees start pouring, before the dog walkers appear, before someone asks “are you open yet?” while we’re still unlocking the door… this is how the morning starts at Salt.

A quiet set up, a fresh sea breeze, and the best village by the beach waking up around us.

We love being part of East Preston’s morning routine, whether you’re grabbing a coffee on the way to work, walking the dog, heading to the beach, or just pretending your “quick stop” won’t involve cake.

When the dog says “just a quick walk”… but somehow you both end up at Salt at 8am. 🐾

We’re open from 8am every day, ready for early dog walkers, beach wanderers and anyone whose four legged boss has decided coffee is required.

Pop by on your morning walk, grab a coffee, and let your dog do the ordering. They clearly know what they’re doing!

Happy National Cream Tea Day ☕🍓

Right, East Preston, we need to talk.

Today at Salt we’re serving up a fruit scone, cream, jam, butter and a tea for £5.

Lovely. Civilised. Very British.

Until someone asks the big question...

Things are a little “warm” inside the kiosk today.

When the thermometer is showing 46.3°C, that is officially less beach cafe and more fan oven.

We are doing our very best to keep operating as normally as possible, but our team will be taking regular short breaks, drinking plenty of water and doing what they need to do to stay safe.

Please bear with us if things take a little longer than usual today. Your patience and kindness really does make a big difference.

Cold drinks, ice creams and seaside survival snacks are still very much available.

Stay cool, look after yourselves and thank you for understanding.

Not a cloud on the horizon before we even opened this morning.

Thursday is looking like another very hot one here on East Preston beach, with temperatures expected to be well into the 30s.

Our team will be taking regular short breaks throughout the day to cool down, grab water and keep themselves safe, so please bear with us if service takes a little longer than usual.

We’ll be doing our best, but kindness and patience are very much appreciated today.

Also, as much as we love seeing your dogs, it really is too hot for them down here. Please leave them somewhere cool and safe rather than bringing them to the beach.

Stay cool, drink plenty of water and look after yourselves.

☀️ East Preston is bringing the heat this week…

If you’re looking for a spot to escape, grab an iced drink, enjoy a bite to eat and soak up a little seaside sunshine, we’ve got a table waiting for you at Salt.

The parasols are up, the coffee is flowing, and the ice creams are disappearing faster than a parking space on the seafront. 🍦😅
