It is with great sadness that we announce that Thai Terre (Uckfield) will be closing its doors, with our final day of trading falling on Valentine’s weekend, 15 February 2026.

This decision has not been taken lightly.

For more than 10 years, Thai Terre (Uckfield) has had the honour of serving the Uckfield community, sharing a high standard of authentic and distinctive Thai cuisine. Over the past decade, we have been proud to welcome so many loyal customers, many of whom have become friends, and we are deeply grateful for the support shown to us throughout the years.

Sadly, the current economic climate, combined with the long-lasting after-effects of Covid, has made trading increasingly difficult. Despite our best efforts, the business has not been operating at a sustainable level for some time. In addition, after more than a decade of trading, the brand and premises now require significant fresh investment to refresh, modernise, and reimagine the space in order to meet the expectations of today’s dining market.

While this brings the Thai Terre chapter to a close, it also creates the opportunity for a new direction and a fresh culinary concept, allowing us to evolve and build on everything we have learned over the past decade. Early plans are already underway to explore an award-winning Middle Eastern dining concept, which we hope to share more about in due course.

Before we say goodbye, we would love to welcome you one final time. Thai Terre (Uckfield) will be hosting a final Valentine’s weekend celebration on Friday 13th, Saturday 14th, and Sunday 15th February 2026. This will be your last opportunity to experience our much-loved and truly special Thai cuisine.

To mark this farewell and to thank you for your loyalty, each booking over the Valentine’s weekend will receive a complimentary bottle of w**e, helping to make your evening even more memorable. Early booking is strongly recommended to avoid disappointment.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our customers, our dedicated staff, our suppliers, and the wider Uckfield community for being part of the Thai Terre journey. Your loyalty, kindness, and encouragement have meant more to us than words can express.

While this is a goodbye for now, it is not the end of the story. We look forward to sharing what comes next in due course and hope to welcome you back for the next chapter.
