I've heard a lot of people say lately that they don't come to the pub because they don't drink - for a long time pubs have been changing their role within the community we are more than a place to drink.

Fun fact for those that dont drink - Fastest-Growing Drink Categorie
Low & No Alcohol.

Why support pubs-

Pubs are community hubs, living museums, and the social fabric of society. Historically, pubs served as dating centers, meeting rooms for traveled unions, and safe havens for traveled Today, they remain one of the few remaining "third places"—spaces separate from home and work where people can gather, combat loneliness, and find connection.

Here is what pubs truly represent beyond a place to grab a drink:

Community Living Rooms: For many, especially in rural areas, the pub is a vital support system where neighbors check in on each other, celebrate milestones, and find companionship.

Cultural Incubators: They act as grassroots venues where local bands get their first gig, comedy nights are born, and traditional pub quizzes keep trivia alive.

Architectural Heritage: Many pubs are centuries-old buildings preserving historical architecture, stained glass, and local folklore that would otherwise be lost to modern development.

Micro-Economies: They support regional breweries, local farmers providing pub food, and offer critical flexible employment within the community.

We have some exciting plans for 2027!

I'm challenging myself to a year of firsts for the pub (sounds easy) but after 14 years it's tricky!

I have a whole host of things going on in the background and I'm excited to watch them grow into 2027.

If you think you've seen all I've got to give - you haven't 😉

❤️Another opportunity to raise awareness that pubs are not just places to drink ❤️

We as a team are super proud of the difference we try to make within our community - we may not be liked by all but we do know we are loved by more❤️
