We have an extensive grassland farm & use traditional farming methods used by my father and grandfather. We graze strong continental cross cattle to produce succulent beef. Our laying hens produce fresh eggs daily for our farm shop & turkey eggs are available when in season. The farm shop sells a wide selection of food, essentials through to speciality. We make our own sausages and burgers all of which are gluten free & our bacon is from 'Richard Woodall' in Cumbria whose recipe dates back 10 generations. We have a wonderful selection of English cheeses & now stock Bevistan Dairy sheep’s milk & cheese . The food cupboard section includes the highest quality ingredients to accompany & compliment all your cooking. Our cafe is open 7 days a week 10.00 till 3.30pm. We have indoor seating in the Garden room and additional seating outside. Walkers & Cyclists are welcome and we are also dog friendly. Serving all day breakfasts, a good selection of light lunches & you can warm up with one of our homemade soups after that walk. For tea why not have a slice of one of our fabulous cakes. Traditional family recipes are still followed in our kitchen today, using only natural ingredients to produce flavoursome - packed delights. Our food is very important to us, right from the farm to the plate. We have a herb centre with over 88 diverse varieties available throughout the growing season. Garden perennials, shrubs & Pansys are now available for the winter season
The craft shop stocks scrapbooking supplies including Graphic 45, Pion Design papers. Kits and patterns are in stock for all your projects. There are lace, embroidery & knitting supplies, threads & ribbons, & wool. New this year is the Fairtrade Gr**go clothing & Black Yak, great for the coming colder months
