We will be opening today at 1700 for drinks this evening but closed until then to undergo some important improvement work to the pub, come and join us for a b**r or two later on!

Thursday 15th - Uley Brewery Harvest Special launch!

Uley Brewery Harvest Special Launch!🍻
🗓️Thursday 15th October
📍The Old Spot!

Currently sat, shining on our bar, the delightful Cheeky Swine from Uley Brewery. A special b**r for us, being the first receipe from our former barman, turned brewer, Tim!

We have a long association with Uley Brewery dating back to when Chas began brewing in 1985 and the Spot first opened in 1993, serving Old Spot and later Old Ric.

The team from Uley will be joining us on Thursday 15th of October to launch their latest brew, Harvest Special. Taking over the taps, supplying b**r tastings, merriment and songs aplenty, all whilst raising money for the local food bank GL11 COMMUNITY HUB.

Join us from 7pm for a night of celebration as well as raising money for a great cause!

Just bring a food offering in each hand to donate to the food bank OR a simple £5 cash donation for the charity! It’s all in the spirit of Harvest!🍻

We had some fun with the visiting dogs, reminding MPs that local pubs, warm b**r and black Labradors exist in perfect harmony.
A pint in the company of your dog is a long enjoyed pleasure and to celebrate dogs, pubs and b**r we are giving a prize of 4.5 gallons of gorgeous b**r from our friends Uley Brewery.
To enter send us a photo (in the comments), of your dog in the Old Spot, including their name and we will pick the lucky winner on Sunday.
