🇮🇹 A little taste of Italy… without leaving Durham Market Hall!

Our selection of gorgeous cannoli is crisp, creamy and seriously scrummy, with flavours including pistachio, lemon, salted caramel, roasted hazelnut, walnut chocolate, and chocolate & rum. The only difficult bit is deciding which box to choose!

And, with a mix of standard and gluten-free options available, those avoiding gluten don’t need to miss out on all this deliciousness either. 🙌

Perfect with an after-dinner coffee, for a little treat, and are lovely for sharing… or perhaps far too good to share at all! 🙈

🧀 Ooh la la… Lisa’s cutting into something rather special!

Munster A.O.P. is a traditional French washed-rind cheese, made with cow’s milk in Lorraine and carefully matured in Alsace. Don’t be fooled by its famously punchy aroma – underneath that distinctive rind is a wonderfully soft, creamy cheese with a rich, savoury flavour.

Enjoy it at room temperature with crusty bread and a spoonful of chutney, serve it the traditional way with warm potatoes and a sprinkle of caraway seeds, or melt it over toast for the ultimate indulgent cheese fix. Delicious with a crisp white wine or a cold beer too!

🎉 Celebrating six years of Market Cheese & Deli! 🧀🥂

Six years ago, Lisa took a leap of faith and took over the reins at Market Cheese & Deli, with a passion for great food and a dream of bringing something special to Durham Market Hall.

Fast forward to today, and what started as a wonderful cheese counter has grown into a thriving deli packed with hundreds of incredible cheeses, artisan treats, chutneys, crackers, olives, charcuterie, local produce and so much more. Watching that journey has been nothing short of amazing. ❤️

But none of it would have been possible without the people who've supported Market Cheese & Deli every step of the way. Every customer who's popped in for "just a little bit of cheese" (and left with a bag full of goodies!), every recommendation, every kind review and every friendly chat has helped make the past six years so special.

And of course, a huge thank you goes to the fantastic team too - especially Leila, who's been by Lisa's side for almost four years, helping customers with a smile, sharing her knowledge and becoming such an important part of the Market Cheese & Deli family. 💜
