We popped in to Oli and Joe's at Sunniside today, havent been since they refurbished a while back, was lovely inside and they had a lunch time special on 3 courses for £9.95 on certain starters, mains coffee or ice cream.

3 of us ordered 2 potato skins and brushes brushetta which were lovely.
Mains were
Pepperoni garlic and chili pizza
Pene Carbonara
Tagliatelle bolognese

Mine was the Carbonara and it was lovely creamy and garlicky my favourite 😍
None of us could fit the ice cream in we were stuffed, we all throughly enjoyed it.

well what can we say, called in for a couple of scotch eggs and hoping they had some of their non egg filled ones for the daughter and they did, and not only that they gave us a few freebies to try. Daughter had kebab fireball with mozzarella inside and cheesey bean with cheddar as the egg she liked both but the cheesy bean was her favourite. I had sage and pork and pork and mango both equally were nice.

We are now working our way through the other flavours we were so kindly given, there were so many options.

Definitely recommend you try them either visit ther shop or keep watch for them at some markets.

Lovely evening out with a friend on Tuesday at The Soho Tavern, we booked a couple of days before glad we did it was quite busy, this was our first visit, we were greeted by a lovely waiter who took us through the menu explained everything and pointed out the popular dishes.
We choose to share a Soho Grill tweaked this to only have sheesh and chicken tikka then we had butter chicken and rice with garlic nan and cheesey nan, with drinks and poppadoms it was £52 there was more than enough food and we took leftovers home.
The only criticism is that the curry came out shortly after the grill so there was a bit of pressure to eat it quick before it got cold, would have been better to know this.

This saturday saw me have a lovely afternoon lunch with my parents, sharing some loaded fries one bacon one without which were really lovely plenty of toppings cheese and dried onion bits. We then had the best fruit scones weve had in a while warmed up moist and plenty of fruit.
Which opened two questions
Do you butter your scone ???

What an absolutely fantastic afternoon planned this event for sisters 40th and the Team at Ross's exceeded any expectations we had, from afternoon tea to bottomless afternoon tea it was fantastic , everything was themed around beauty and the beast food menu, cakes, cocktails, music, quiz and karaoke 2hrs of absolutely fun can not recommend this place enough.

These were absolutely gorgeous😍

I got the All Biscoff baby Freakshake and it was one of the best I've had, creamy tasty and so fresh.
He had the Athena deluxe Sundae which was back cherry and i had a little taste and it was lovely.

We sat in the window watching the world go by so chilled and the decor inside and out is beautiful, and the staff were lovely.

Will definitely be back to try other offerings on the menu.

Beautiful Indian meal tonight at The Black Cardamon Thirsk. Can't believe how much food we got for £45.
Poppadoms with dips
Onion bahji
Lamb Dupiaza
Garlic and chilli chicken
Kema rice
Sides of brocoli and cheese and Cauliflower and tomato
Garlic naan bread
Pint of coke and pint of Cobra
Food was amazing
Service was fab so friendly and attentive without being over the top, good banter loving the Geordie accent.

10/10 all round from us and will be our local Indians from now on.

The one and only photo I took today 🙈 i wanted to get them ate they smelt so good, and they tasted amazing the fish was freshly cooked while I was there and it tasted lovely, the batter wasn't heavy at all, really light and crispy, the chips were lovely had a nice crispiness to them and not greasy at all... I also got curry sauce which was lush.

I will definitely be back will this will be our new friday work lunch place to go.

in Lanchester has just opened this week and the staff are lovely had a nice little chat with us while we waited for our food, highly recommend this one.

Had a lovely evening out yesterday with my Daughter,and we went for some cocktails at we booked for the happy hour, and I have to say the cocktails were absolutely lovely 2 cocktails for £7 absolute bargin we will be returning, it's a gorgeous little wine bar lovely atmosphere just what our area needs.

Absolutely gorgeous Sunday carvery today, and I will be returning to this one.
We didn't go until 3pm, didn't book arrived to a lovely welcome, all staff were friendly, this is way better than it's sister pub which just so happens to be closer to home.

3 adults 1 child's carvery
£14.95 for a regular plate the veg was so fresh and super tasty, the mash potato was divine and the beef just fell apart, other meat options were turkey, pork and ham 😋

We got 2 Yorkshire puddings, mash pot, mash turnip, roast potatoes, roast parsnips, carrot, brocoli, cauliflower cheese, stuffing balls, peas, and the richest gravy, with 2 thick slices of beef.

Last Thursday was a visit to The Grey Horse Consett for their weekly street food vendor. This weeks was 😍

We opted for the festive philly which came with garlic potatoes and pigs and blackets (who doesn't love pigs in blankets). The sandwich was stuffed to the brim with the steak, peppers onions and cheese and the bread was fresh and soft.

The potatoes were absolutely gorgeous and packed with flavour - garlic sage was stunning a great accompliment.

For £12 each, it was definitely worth it and very filling! 😍

I was the first customer of the night and the team had a bit chat while I was waiting very friendly and were talking about how they are in the process of opening a new shop in Newcastle we will definitely be coming along once it's open.
