Job Overview:

We are looking for friendly, reliable, and hardworking counter staff to join our busy Chinese takeaway. You will be the first point of contact for customers, ensuring excellent service while handling orders efficiently.



Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers warmly and take orders in person and over the phone
• Handle cash and card payments accurately
• Pack and check orders before handing them to customers or delivery drivers
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front counter area
• Assist kitchen staff when required (e.g., basic prep or organisation)
• Provide excellent customer service and resolve any issues politely


Requirements:

• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic numeracy skills for handling payments
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Previous experience is preferred but not essential (training provided)

• Friendly and approachable
