We had an amazing day yesterday full of wonderful customers and live music by the fantastic ‘Cherry Valentine’. Today’s gonna be a busy one serving our Five Meat Roast and this weekend you get us for an extra day as we’re open tomorrow too!

The incompetent UK Power Networks are now saying there will be no power on 9th rather than the 2nd of September. We have not had a letter from them and we have tried to get a clear answer on the phone, but they seem to have no idea what they are doing!

As a result, we are advising people that if you planning on visiting for Wednesday lunch on either of these weeks, please email us in the morning to confirm if we are able to open.

Sorry for the inconvenience, but it is out of our hands.

We've had it confirmed that next Wednesday (2nd) UK Power Networks will be turning our power off from 9am until 5pm. This means that we wont be able to open the pub until 6pm on that day. We apologise to all our Wednesday lunch time customers but, this is obviously out of our control. For next week only, we will be moving our 'Bus Pass Wednesday' offer to Thursday so we do hope that you'll all be able to join us then instead. Apologies again for any inconvienience casued.

We’ve got live music next saturday 29th, playing pop, rock and soul covers from the 1950s to the 2000s.

The Cherry Valentines are a male/female duo who play up-tempo pop, rock & soul cover tunes with acoustic guitar, flute and stunning harmonies. The duo perform regularly in the local area, and their abundance of talent has seen them play prestigious gigs for the likes of the R.A.F. and Mercedes-Benz, as well as being the warm-up act for auditions of TV’s ‘The Voice’. With a repertoire made up of the finest pop, rock and soul covers from the 1950s to the present day - all delivered with driving rhythm guitar and beautiful flute playing - the Valentines have passion, energy and a strong twin lead vocal attack.

Just wanted to give a shout out to our girls who have achieved fantastic results in these last two weeks. Livie gaining a Distinction from College and Charlie achieving her GCSE’s ready to begin here journey at College in September. All our followers and customers will know, what a big part the girls play within The Farmers Boy, both socially and as awesome employees. Dave and I couldn’t be prouder ❤️
