For the first time.....I've had to cancel😭. I won't bore you, but today my back threw in the towel. Funny thing is, I wasn't even lifting anything! I felt a pop then immediate, intense pain shot across my lower back. Never had this before.

Sadly I cannot do the following properly - walk, sit, stand, bend too far, raise my legs, lay down.... anything!. This has been going on for over four hours and I've gotta say....not an experience I want to have again🫪.

An issue, you may agree, when needing to bake! I cannot slide the mixer across the kitchen counter, let alone pick it up! Can't lift a blooming cupcake tray right now 🥹

So for the first time, I've had to cancel. I cancelled a big venue meeting which has to be the worst first impression I could make. And I've had to cancel a cake. And I HATE THIS. The guilt, the worry, it's awful. Both contacts have been very kind and understanding so THANK YOU.

I have nothing else scheduled for another week+. Between now and then, I will not be doing to any further baking of any kind, as I must rest up and sort this before then. Not going to let anyone else down! 🩷

🩷👰‍♀️Pink wedding cake💒🩷
This is not a drill! You all know my love for pink and a wonderful bride (via her lovely daughter) asked for a three tier cake with 12 cupcakes, in my signature flowers, in an *all pink* extravaganza! The brief was primarily pale pink with mixed pink details. My heart jumped for joy 😂 something about pink makes me all warm and fuzzy inside.

Back at the beautiful Meadows House and shout out to Buds in Berwick who loved my cake so much they even took their own photos 🥹.

Here's hoping the weather improved and the bride, groom and family had a wonderful day 🩷🎂💐

Over 400 followers🤩! Wow! Hello and welcome to the new faces here, and to the old faces who help share, comment and all-round never fail to support 🩷 you lot are the best, thank you.

Sorry the page has been quiet the last few months. Rest assured the baking hasn't slowed down behind the scenes - just the posting of it 😂.

Family life has been....shall we say, a tad full on? A lil ' bit stressful? (Are us mums allowed to admit that😅?). But baking genuinely relaxes something in me, so thank you for continuing to trust me with your cakes - even if I forget to take photos and share them 🫪🤣

So if anyone has cakes pending with me have no fear - I am still here! And if anyone has any photos they can send me, please do, more than anything I love to see your faces with your cakes 🩷😁

Here's one (of two!) cakes this week, this one went to a wonderful mum friend of mine 🥰 (who had to send me photos haha) xx

Absolutely thrilled to be at the Duns show, not only as part of the committee but to support the wonderful charity, Berwickshire Charity Truck Run

The cake I've donated is a chocolate fudge in my signature style of flower decorations.

I checked it would be suitable that this cake be a gentle acknowledgement to Shona and all the wonderful things she did with the Truck Run. Deep red roses 🌹, for Shona x

💚Wedding cake💚
Today's wedding cake at Marshall Meadows. Three layers, two tiers. Free reign on design, just greens and a little touch of hand-printed gold. Love this colour selection. Congratulations you two, so glad the sun came out in the end!☀️

When you keep saying you don't do fondant and you *definitely* don't do sculpted cakes.... Then your 13 year old asks for a duckling cake for her birthday 🐤🐥....really, kid?! 😂. Thank goodness I could do this without fondant, I'd have cried 🤣 Instead we have a rice crispy cake covered in yellow coloured chocolate ganache, with buttercream fluff. Plus fondant eyes....and beak....so the fondant did sneak in...and glitter!!!!
And not that I remembered to photograph it, but a candle in his head, too 😅

Confession time! This is my first time piping a sunflower 🌻 and I love her 💛. Added edible powder on the petals with the most delicate brush to add some depth to the colour. So many tutorials out there on what they "should look like" so I went with my instincts on this. I think she turned out great!

My daughter's 5th birthday cake🥳

She chose top tier lemon and lemon curd, with lemon and elderflower buttercream (fancy taste buds this year!).
Middle tier chocolate fudge with chocolate buttercream filling.
Bottom tier vanilla and raspberry.

Clever hubby printed the turret with food safe filament. Hope she doesn't expect this every year 🤣

Just finished my daughter's 5th birthday cake, which as you Scottish folk will know, means it's her last birthday before school 🥹. She asked for a big cake and I couldn't say no....even if it had me up this late and I have an early start tomorrow!

Naturally, it's covered in glitter. Is it enough glitter if you don't sparkle yourself? Well I'm definitely covered! As is the *opposite* side of my kitchen....and hubby's coffee machine...sorry 😬🤣

And yes....that is a *black* hob covered in sparkle.... 🧽🫧🧹

Final photo tomorrow, don't judge the odd colour combo and green dyed nail just yet 😉
