🐶☀️ Top Tips for Keeping Your Dogs Safe in the Hot Weather ☀️🐶

We love welcoming your four-legged friends to The Dundry Inn, especially when the sun is shining! 🐾💚

Here are a few simple ways to keep your dog happy and safe during the warmer weather:

🌳 Stick to the shade – Keep your dog out of direct sunlight where possible.

💧 Fresh water is a must – Always make sure they have plenty of cool, clean drinking water.

🚶 Walk early or late – Avoid walking during the hottest part of the day. Early mornings and evenings are much safer.

🐾 Check the pavement – If it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their paws!

🚗 Never leave dogs in a parked car – Even with the windows open, temperatures can become dangerously high within minutes.

🍦 Treat them to something cool – Frozen dog treats or ice cubes can help keep them comfortable.

❤️ Know the signs of heatstroke – Excessive panting, drooling, weakness, vomiting or collapse are emergencies. Move your dog somewhere cool, offer small amounts of water, and contact your vet immediately.
