…. And that’s a wrap! Thank you to everyone who came out to support us in our last hurrah.
Your kind words and stories have meant everything. We are all excited for what is yet to come, no matter when or what it may look like.

We still have on Wednesday evening for your last Dock Street fix. And come and see us at !!

For our final Friday… we have a bunch of our great friends in for a big line up!
and will be starting the evening off strong and beautifully. And for the finale, we have our gals GRACIE, giving us a great time.

Each of these bands/artists have given Blend so much joy these past few years. It is a huge honour to have them on our stage once again to give a good final hurrah to our legendary Friday nights.

Come on down for a good time—you won’t be disappointed!

Alright folks… this is it! Our final week!

We have 3 great events on this week to show case:
Wednesday evening: is the third part to our menopause events, with this night focussing on nutrition. A dietician is will be coming in to speak to people about it all.

Friday night, our girl band GRACIE will be doing a final show with us. We were the first place to ever host them! It’s gonna be a great night!

And to close it out on Saturday night, will be having a gig called Acoustic Grooves ft Brian Doc Wound.

So come on out for a final hurrah this week while supporting some local artists ❤️

If you don’t recognise this, this is our mission statement that was written on the walls of both Reform Street and Dock Street. It is who we are at the core—our main driver and engine. It’s the ‘why’ behind it all, and it’s always good to go back and remind ourselves of who we are.

And within reflecting, we’ve made the extremely difficult decision to close our doors at Dock Street Studios.
This decision did not come easy nor lightly. But after reflecting, the business was heading a different direction that we are not fully equipped to do. So many wanted to use us as a gig and event space—which is great. However, our aim is to be a community coffee shop, being a blessing to whatever community we are in and the people that we serve. But sadly, due to our location and other factors, the coffee shop side of things suffered and the event space thrived. With dedication and organisation from our Blend Creates team, the event space grew its own legs and started taking off in directions that we couldn’t ever imagine. But within that, we started to become something that we never intended to be. And sometimes, you need to take a step backwards to grow and continue forwards.
We still want to exist as a coffee shop that hosts events for the community, just not as our sole identity. We know that there’s a place for us in Dundee, as our model has proven to work, but the location needs to be right.

So with that, our final full day of trading will be 10th August. We really want to go out with a bang and end well, so we will be having special hours for our final week (6th-10th August).

We will be hosting our final gigs on Friday & Saturday (8th & 9th), and finishing up with just an evening event for Hotchpotch on Wednesday, 13th August.
Our shop at Baxter Park will still be open and functioning as normal, so don’t worry about that!

Thank you so much for supporting us in the city centre for 7 years. We’ve survived multiple lock downs, a premises move, and more. We’ve been able to facilitate and host you all to create and empower each other through artistry, joy and community—connecting people from all walks of life. And It has been our greatest honour to be your home and Dundee’s living room.
Our place has been your place. We hope you’ve enjoyed the journey—we sure have ❤️
