If you’re looking for a reason to pop in, we’ve got a lovely selection of homemade favourites waiting for you — perfect for lunch, a catch-up or a little afternoon treat.

The start of a busy weekend and the cabinet's freshly stocked with treats — fresh in today and ready for you to enjoy!

New in the cabinet today:

🍪 Sinderins Cookie – a fresh-baked large NY-style cookie with pieces of our Earl Grey-infused tealoaf carefully mixed through before baking, for a wonderfully cheeky taste and texture

🌰 Coffee & Walnut Cake – this thing is HUGE. Stacked high and filled with buttercream. Get your grub on and your caffeine hit in just one bite! 😂

🍫 Mint Choc Shard – one of our faves and a true tearoom classic by now!!! Think a fresh bar of old but with more heart — bigger, bolder, moreish 🤤

We've a little more time this morning, so I'm sat with my morning brew ☕... you can ask which one, but I may never tell! 😏
So im creating this post completely AI-free 🙌 We do use AI to help create and promote flyers for the tearoom etc, but when it comes to pictures of the goods — no AI present, as really, no AI is necessary!! William pulls out all the stops, drawing on decades of knowledge, skill and craft to create some genuinely showstopper, jaw-dropping treats & nothing can sell that like the thing itself. 😍

Right, Dundee — the kettle's on and the cabinet's rammed.

We're kicking the week off properly at Mary's Kitchen, the only way we know how, so here's what's coming out of the oven for you today.

🫐 Blueberry scones alongside our Fruit & Plain, still warm — proper excuse for a pot of tea and five minutes to yourself.

🌶️ Our quiche today is a bit cheekier than usual — pepper & red pesto with chilli. Not one for the faint-hearted, but worth it.

🌭 The sausage roll is hand-rolled today: pork, chicken, roast mushroom and garlic. Flaky, hearty, gone fast.

🥕 And to warm you right through — hearty vegetable soup, the kind that tastes like someone actually cared when they made it (because someone did).

Everything else in the cabinet is stocked as always, so come hungry, come nosy, come for a blether — whatever brings you in, the door's open.

Just in time for the weekend… 🍰☕

Have a look at what is making its way into the cabinet at Mary’s Kitchen.

Mary’s Bairns have been busy, and the cabinet is looking especially tempting… ✨

🍓 Trifle Sponge — a glorious slice piled with fruity trifle filling, a generous swirl of cream and a cheerful scattering of sprinkles.

☕ Tiramisu Cake — a showstopper of a cake, wrapped in ladyfingers and finished with cocoa, chocolate and a dusting of coconut. Coffee-and-cake lovers, this one has your name on it.

🍌🍫 Banana Bread with Baked Brownie Bites — a lovely soft banana loaf with proper fudgy brownie bites baked right through, then drizzled on top for good measure.

And never fear — your firm cabinet favourites are still waiting for you too, alongside our breakfast, brunch and lunch menu. 🥪🍳
Whether you are after a full plate, a light bite or simply cake and a good cuppa, we have you covered.

The only difficult bit is choosing where to start…

Yesterday was another busy, bustling day at Mary’s Kitchen.
Thank you so much to everyone who stopped by, sat in, took away and helped make the tearoom so full of life.

We are genuinely sorry to anyone we had to turn away while we were full and thank you too for booking your next visit.
Our takeaways were flying out the door too, which meant William had to put in a little overtime to keep pace — and, honestly, he has absolutely outdone himself.

Fresh in the cabinet today:

🍋 Mary’s Kitchen Lemon Drizzle Cake — back by popular demand. Bright, zesty, sticky and exactly the sort of cake a proper pot of tea was made for.

🍫 Raspberry & Dark Chocolate Brownies — a fresh batch of deeply chocolatey brownies with sharp little bursts of raspberry. Rich, fudgy and very hard to share.

🍐 NEW: Pear & Caramel Crumble Sponge — soft sponge, sweet pear, gooey caramel and a comforting crumble topping. This one is made for a grey Dundee day and a big cup of tea.
And never fear, we are still well stocked with the classics our regulars know and love: Old Skool cake, Bakewells and Ruffle Bars and the rest are all waiting patiently too.

So come down, say hello, pour yourself a cup and indulge a little. Whether you are grabbing a takeaway, catching up with friends or claiming a quiet table for cake, we would love to see you.

There is nothing quite like starting the week with something fresh from the kitchen, so here is a little look at what is waiting for you at Mary’s Kitchen today.

🫐 **Guest Scone of the Day** — Blueberry. Freshly baked, warm from the oven and made for a proper pot of tea.

🥧 **Fresh in the Cabinet — Classic Treacle Tart.** Golden pastry, rich sticky filling and the sort of proper old-fashioned pudding that goes perfectly with a pot of tea.
