This Sunday is the last Sunday pizza pop-up of the season at Balhungie Berry Farm.

It’s been a fantastic summer— loads of pizza, plenty of sell-outs and a great place to spend a Sunday.

The van will be back in the usual spot this Sunday, ovens fired up and dough ready to go.
Then that’s the Sunday pop-ups wrapped up for the season.

For today’s solar eclipse at Balhungie Berry Farm, I thought I'd make a pizza to mark the occasion.

The Solar Eclipse Special is loaded with:

🇮🇹 Tuscan sausage
🍅 Semi-dried tomatoes
🌶️ Red pimento pepper
🧀 Parmigiano Reggiano
🍯 Hot honey

…then finished with piped ricotta for a creamy little finale.

A little spicy, a little sweet, a little bit of Italian sunshine — and very, very good.

Really honoured to be featured by Business Gateway Tayside as part of their A Year On series.

Looking back, it's hard to believe how far The No Pineapple Pizza Project has come. It's been a lot of long days, late nights, and plenty of challenges, but there has been plenty of highlights along the way.

A massive thank you to everyone who's stopped by the van for a pizza, booked me for your weddings, parties and events, recommended me to others, or simply followed and supported the journey. Every single bit of support has helped me build this business, and I'm genuinely grateful.

Here's to plenty more pizzas and the next chapter! 🍕❤️

🍕 A Slice of Success: A Year On with The No Pineapple Pizza Project

As part of our A Year On series, we caught up with Andy from The No Pineapple Pizza Project to see how business is progressing since receiving support from Business Gateway Tayside.

What started as an idea and a vintage van has grown into a thriving full-time business, serving up wood-fired pizzas at weddings, festivals, markets, corporate events and private functions across the region.

One of Andy's biggest achievements has been building a loyal customer base, with much of his work now coming through repeat bookings and recommendations.

“There's no better feeling than someone booking you for an event because they tried your pizza somewhere else and remembered it.”

Like many small business owners, Andy has faced challenges along the way, from rising costs and unpredictable weather to managing every aspect of the business himself. Through adaptability, hard work and determination, he's continued to grow the business while maintaining the quality and service that customers have come to love.

Looking ahead, Andy's next goal is securing a permanent pitch for the van while continuing to expand the weddings and events side of the business.

Business Gateway supported Andy in the early stages of his journey, helping him develop his business plan and access funding to turn his idea into reality.

If you've not been up to Balhungie Berry Farm yet, this weekend's a pretty good excuse.

The strawberries are unreal, the views speak for themselves, Bumblebeans are pouring great coffee, Waffleberry are serving their ridiculously good Belgian waffles... and I'll be there both Saturday & Sunday firing out pizzas.

(Still no pineapple, before anyone asks. 🍍🚫🍕)
