This very tram was operational during the late 1870’s and is now serving a purpose of a unique coffee & sandwich bar within the city centre. The Auld Tram is an original Dundee & District Tramways Horse Drawn Tram and one of the oldest examples in existence today! are very passionate about the city of Dundee and the preservation of its historical identity. When we had the opportunity to bring such a unique landmark back to the place it once operated over 100 years ago we jumped at the chance while relishing the opportunity to give it a new lease of life as a coffee & sandwich bar. We have built up a reputation for retailing quality food, our sister restaurant Bridgeview Station has won multiple awards for its food and we want to offer a similar but more focused experience within the city centre. The Auld Tram sells a complete selection of gourmet teas, coffees & soft drinks along with our famous soup & bloomer sandwiches, which change seasonally. Our sandwiches are hand prepared to order and are created by Bridgeview Station’s award winning brigade of chefs using only the freshest local seasonal produce…wen yir droothy or stervin yull ken whaur tae drap beh.
