What a job Dale is doing on The Great British Pub Crawl traveling the length and breadth of the UK visiting and documenting pubs and bars across the country! Some of which sadly won’t be around in 10 or 20 years time the way things are going.

If you’ve not seen Dales Dundee video you should give it a watch. What an amazing advert for Dundee and the local people of our beautiful city.

Pubs are brilliant places for meeting and socialising and perfect for anyone feeling lonely or looking to improve mental health. You don’t have to spend much, you can get a soft drink or a half pint. You’ve got around 42000 of them in the uk and the vast majority are ready equipped with customers and great folk behind the bar who are always up for a chat.

Thank You Dale! long live the peoples palaces which have been and still are such an important part of our culture and our history.

I think I can say from our customers, staff & everyone at The Speedwell Bar (Mennie’s) that we were buzzing to be included in the top 12 establishments visited by Dale on The Great British Pub Crawl last year.

It’s a privilege and an honour to be runner up and included in the top 3 bars in the uk 2026 out of 4500 visited!! 👏 👏 👏 👏

What a credit to our customers, staff & The Speedwell Bar to be shortlisted here and in the same sentence as The Cafe Royal in Edinburgh.

What an amazing advert Dale is for our beautiful city and the locals of Dundee!

It’s humbling and an absolute honour to hear thoughts and comments like this from someone who is experienced and highly qualified to speak on the subject.
