Dinosaur Adventure. 🦕✨ What a roar-some morning we had at Everwild! ✨🦕

Our summer holiday Dinosaur Adventure was packed with imagination, creativity and outdoor fun. From digging for fossils and exploring dinosaur-themed invitations to play to enjoying all the woodland has to offer, it was wonderful to see so many little explorers fully immersed in their play.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and made the session so special. Seeing the children’s excitement, curiosity and confidence grow as they explored together is exactly what Everwild is all about.

We hope you all had an amazing time—we loved sharing our prehistoric adventure with you! 🦖💚

📚🍃 THE BIG DUNDEE BOOK HUNT 🍃📚

I’m super excited (and really nervous) to announce my next community campaign - The Big Dundee Book Hunt! 🔍 📖

On Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th August, I’m going to hide as many books as possible across a number of locations in Dundee for children to find, take home and keep. With this year being the National Year of Reading and so many others campaigning to help people discover reading for enjoyment, I wanted to do my bit and would love to get as many books as possible out into the hands of children in Dundee as I can!

I’m asking for your help! Whether you run a business, or love sharing stories with the children in your life, or simply want to do good in our community, any donation at all would be incredible. Even a £5 donation could provide books for children in our city ❤️

Roar!!!
The dinosaurs arrived at Everwild today. We drove the Jurassic jeep, had a scavenger hunt and thirsty dinosaurs took over the mud kitchen! Finished with our dinosaur story, of course. 🦖🦕🦖

**UPDATE** Due to overwhelmingly popular demand, we are now totally fully booked for these events. I know many of you are on waiting lists for tickets and we are actively looking to put on extra sessions if we can - if/when we announce these I will let the people on the waiting lists know first.**

Come and meet The Gruffalo! The new Gruffalo book, "The Gruffalo Granny" comes out on the 10th September this year and we are so excited for this! To celebrate, we have invited The Gruffalo himself to join us for the first weekend in October!

Come along with the family and get pictures with The Gruffalo! We will have activity packs, stickers and of course, loads of Julia Donaldson books, including the brand new Gruffalo Granny!

Tickets are free but limited due to the size of the shop so please try to arrive in your time slot. One ticket covers each family. Get tickets below or on the event page on our website.

✨ Our final block of Everwild sessions for this year is open for booking, and Sundays are almost full. Please check Sunday dates as they are not running consecutively this time.👀
Join us for a few more magical mornings in the woods before we take our winter break. Expect open-ended play, crafts, stories and plenty of opportunities for little ones to explore, create and connect with nature.

Moving on…

It’s that time of year where some of our children say goodbye,
Today we’re saying a very special goodbye to one of our wee ones as she finishes her Everwild adventure and gets ready to start Primary 1. 🌿💚
We know you’re going to shine in your new classroom and can’t wait to hear all about your new adventures from mum and little brother.
Good luck! Thank you for being such a special part of Everwild from the very beginning. We’ll all miss your smile, but we’ll be cheering you on every step of the way. 🍃✨

Happy Birthday to us! We reached three the other week and I only just realised…

Three years ago, Everwild began as my little project to keep me busy when I left teaching. First as a little pop up in Backmuir Woods, then some sessions at the Botanics, until we finally found our present woodland home.
Since then we’ve welcomed lots of families to the forest.
To every family who has booked a session, shared a photo, recommended us to a friend or left a kind review —thank you. Everwild wouldn’t be what it is without you.🩷
And a huge thank you to my other half, who encouraged me to keep going, even when I was thinking of giving up, has always supported me and puts up with me on my grumpiest of days.🩷🩷🩷
