For Executive Chef James Mearing, luxury lies in honouring the entire ingredient - an ethos that defines Cradle’s approach to fine dining.

Sourced just an hour away at , duck breast is seared over the Konro barbecue, paired with a rich boudin of leg and offal, and elevated by a five-spice reduction. Complemented by roasted plum and toasted almond dressing - a masterclass in local provenance.

Settle into The Garden Room, where views across the Cromlix lawns are paired with good food and a warm welcome.

Our menus take their cue from the kitchen garden, local producers and the best of Scotland’s larder, giving carefully chosen ingredients their moment.

Join us for a catch up over lunch or make an evening of dinner. With the gardens beyond the windows and something delicious on the table, there’s every reason to stay a little longer.

From our garden to your favourite corner of Cromlix.

Kathy, our head gardener and florist, and the team pick fresh flowers from the kitchen garden, bringing a little of each season indoors.

Thoughtfully arranged, these homegrown blooms find their way throughout the hotel, adding colour and character to cosy corners and welcoming spaces. Each arrangement is a little different, guided by whatever the garden has to offer.

A new season, and a chance to slow things down.

As autumn begins to settle across the estate, there’s no better time to embrace a change of pace - and perhaps a change of temperature, too.

Warm up in the sauna before taking the plunge into something a little cooler, surrounded by the changing colours of the Cromlix landscape.

A little time to reset, restore and start autumn well.

Meet Head Chef, Murray Cooper.

Working closely with the seasons, Cradle at Cromlix is shaped by what’s growing, changing and arriving around us - creating a dining experience that feels rooted in its surroundings and connected to the moment.

Sixteen covers. One considered experience. A restaurant designed to give you the time to settle in, savour what’s in front of you and see where the evening takes you.

Welcome to Cradle.

A ritual worth making time for.

Settle into the light-filled Glasshouse for warm focaccia sandwiches, freshly baked scones, something sweet and a pot of tea poured at your own pace.

And if the mood takes you, why not add a glass (or two) of bubbles? You decide.

Afternoon Tea at The Glasshouse, served from 12pm–4pm. Book your table: https://bit.ly/4wIqokh

A fresh pair of eyes on the new Cromlix.

We recently welcomed Daniel Sanderson from The Times to experience everything that’s changed across the estate — from our new Woodland Retreat and restaurants to the reimagined rooms and spaces throughout the house.

His verdict? A Cromlix that feels renewed, while holding onto the warmth, character and sense of place that have always made it special.

Thank you to Daniel and The Times for coming to stay, taking the plunge (quite literally), and sharing our new chapter.
