It’s definitely been a minute since I have been posting on here

Life is just kinda getting in the way, I’m currently on day 8 out of 18 working straight in the coffee shop covering holidays. We have been catering so many events during the day and at night recently and I have been busy getting all my clothes pressed and packed for launching my second collection for my new clothing brand love_from_clothingco

Things have been crazy, we have been working mega hours & have been getting absolutely no pictures of anything 😂

We have very limited availability for event catering at weekends for the rest of the year! Thank you for keeping us so busy 🖤

The coffee shop - Roo’s kitchen has been absolutely insane lately.. the mega amount of people that has been coming through the door lately for both sit in and takeaway always baffles me as to where you all come from 😂

But we are genuinely so thankful to have such successful businesses especially because daily I read about local businesses that close and it scares me! The government certainly don’t make it easy but we are lucky to keep paddling through the water on a daily basis

I have had a few people ask me about bistro nights.. I wanted to bring them back for August but with me working for so many weeks I just don’t have it in me, September is already looking crazy busy and we are away for a weeks holiday at the end of the month. So maybe October? 🫣 I know you are missing them but it would just be a lot at the moment. And I want to give it my 100%

That’s all for now I think 😂 don’t be surprised if it takes me another 10 days or so to post 😂

Definitely don’t look like this right now… picture more like a person that’s been dragged through a bush backwards and hit by a bus 😂

Today was literally INSANE 😱 it was completely and utterly mobbed! In fact this entire week has been one of the busiest weeks we have ever had!

I left the kitchen for a split second during the madness today to look out front and no word of a lie literally every single seat in the shop had a person sat in it! That’s 50+ people in it at once! Not forgetting the queue for takeaway orders!

Our friend Lynn came down for breakfast today and ended up washing dishes and taking food out to tables (glad she has many years spent in hospitality) thank you 🙏

I then had to call Amy in to give the girls out front a hand 😂

I still can’t believe what we have built up, the endless hours we work, the tears, the achievements, the stress, the anxiety, the worries, the highs & the lows

I’m so proud of what we have brought to Dumbarton 🫶 the fact I get to work with my wife, we have the most amazing staff who I can call my friends and many return customers who have also become friends ❤️

Hard work is never easy but if you want something in life then you just got to work even harder 👩🏼‍🍳

A massive thank you to each and every single customer to chooses Roo’s on a daily, weekly, monthly basis. Visitors who choose us to have brunch at and support a small business, it generally means the world 🌎

I’m off for a lie down, maybe a nap & spend some quality time with my wife and furbabies 🐶

We also had book club tonight so I’ll do a separate post about the next date & chosen book 📕
