Tonightβs loaded dogz n sides night!
It was a great in regards to being able to do fun dishes like this!
However I definitely left tonight feeling deflated π it wasnβt a busy night at all.. we had some tables not show up and in the end only done 10 people and doing that is just not feasible for a small business
I sat down tonight and worked out costs.. between the money we spent on all the food, electricity used for opening the place and the equipment used to cook the food, mine and Amyβs βminimum wageβ although we donβt take one, the effort and time I spend coming up with the menu, the lists and the actual prep of the food Iβm sad to say that tonight we ran at a massive loss π’
This is also not the first time this has happened with bistro nights lately π
Going forward I will be making some hard decisions wether or not to continue with all these different nights. I pour my heart and soul into them all to bring something special to the local area but unfortunately if we canβt get the bookings then there is no point in it
I would love to be able to open every Friday and Saturday night serving great food but at the moment thatβs a long way off despite offering these special nights for more than 3 years!
Although this post is a negative one Iβm really happy with the food that I put out tonight and a massive thanks to everyone who came along and supported our dream β€οΈ
