Scotrail are looking for a new operator for The Coffee Station. I handed my keys back in today but it still has the fridges and some equipment etc. The builders doing the bricks made a bit of a mess with dust but it wouldn't take much to get it up and running again. All the best if you go for it and let me know if I can help with anything. πŸ™‚

An excellent business opportunity has arisen in Dumbarton Central Station for a coffee shop, delicatessen or other takeaway service. The unit benefits from power, water, drainage & existing modern fit-out / kitchen equipment.

Great opportunity to run a cafe in the heart of Dumbarton and help those most in need in our community.

It's goodbye for now. Thankyou to all The Coffee Station customers who have kept the business going over the last 8 years. Unfortunately due to the virus my turnover had fallen to less than 10% and the shop is currently not worth opening. Alongside mandatory masks it's not ideal for a coffee and roll. Hopefully when things get back to normal someone will reopen the shop. Thanks again for your support! All my regulars made it a great place to work! πŸš‚πŸ΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ ΏπŸ΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ ΏπŸ΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ Ώ

After a deep clean and a re stock The Coffee Station is ready to open at 6am tomorrow. Why not pop in next week for the finest local Italian Aroma Coffee and giant Sutherlands cakes. Please follow the new social distancing signage and just two customers in the shop at a time. Wearing of masks on trains and in stations is compulsory just now and masks inside shops from Friday. Hand gel and anti bacterial wipes are available to use. Hope to see you back soon. Chris.

Planning to open again on Monday 6th July. Just wondering if regular commuters are planning to start using the station again and how people feel about compulsory masks on trains? Any comments and suggestions would be appreciated so I have an idea what to expect. Hope to see you soon. Chris.

Further to my earlier post I have decided to close from now. It's not fair to keep trading as a non essential business. See you all in a couple of months hopefully.

23/03/2020

We will be closing on Wednesday afternoon until things get back to normal. Any products that don't have a long date on them will be donated to the foodbank. Thankyou to everyone for your support and custom over the last 7 years. See you soon! Chris. πŸš‚πŸ’¨πŸ΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ ΏπŸ’¨πŸ΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ ΏπŸ’¨

Looks like there will be an earlier train if it helps anyone.

Plan is to keep the shop open between 7am and 11am mon to fri and see how it goes. Will still be there for the railway staff and key workers travelling to Glasgow and Edinburgh. Will need to cut back on a few products but most stuff still on. Stay safe everyone.

Food for Thought is a great local charity that helps out members of the community who are struggling to make ends meet. With the next few months looking to be financially uncertain for many families I will be collecting donations of food, toiletries and Easter Eggs in The Coffee Station. For every 3 items donated I will be giving away a free tea, coffee or filled roll. πŸš‚πŸ’¨πŸ΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ ΏπŸ’¨πŸ΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ ΏπŸ’¨
