Have you spotted some new faces in the café this week?
We're celebrating the wonderful young people taking part in Tullochan's Work Placement Programme.

Every week, we see our young people grow in confidence, develop new skills, and gain valuable experience in a real working environment. From welcoming customers and preparing food to working as part of a team, they're making a fantastic contribution to our café and wider community.

We couldn't be prouder of everything they're achieving. A huge thank you to our customers and supporters who help create such a warm and welcoming environment every time they visit. Your encouragement makes a real difference.

🌱🥬 From Planter to Plate! 🥬🌱
Last week, some of the young people enjoyed harvesting some lettuce they have been growing in Tullochan's vegetable garden.
After planting, nurturing and caring for the crops, it was time to harvest some of the fresh lettuce for use in the cafe, for everyone to enjoy.

Projects like this help young people develop practical skills, build confidence, learn about healthy food choices and see the results of their hard work first-hand.

A fantastic example of growing, learning and giving back – all from our own garden!

Today we welcomed a visitor all the way from Skipton, who stopped by for breakfast before continuing on a journey to Mallaig. What made the visit extra special was that Tony chose The Common Good Café not just for a good breakfast, but because he wanted to support the work we do with young people at Tullochan.

Every purchase made in the café helps us continue to create opportunities, develop skills, and support local young people to reach their potential.

Thank you, Tony, for your support and for making us part of your journey! We hope you enjoyed your breakfast and wish you safe travels on the road to Mallaig!

Good morning all!
We wanted to let you know that we will be closing an hour earlier today for some essential maintenance .
We will be open on Monday as normal.
Please watch this space though as there will be some exciting changes coming over summer and beyond for our wonderful cafe.
