The Beacon Hotel

The Beacon Hotel Beer! The Beacon Hotel is a traditional Victorian brewery tap-house. Snowflake is our winter warmer and available November to February.

Home to the renowned Sarah Hughes brewery and Dark Ruby Mild plus two bitters, the Surprise (known as Sedgley to locals) at 5% and the Pale Amber at 4%. We have two guest beers on tap, which are are usually bitters, ranging in ABV and style. We use only micro breweries and try to promote local beers. The servery is a tiny traditional island bar serving two separate rooms and the often busy passage way. We allow children in the veranda.

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dear friend Howard. He worked as a brewery assistant for many years and has always been a regular with us since moving to black country ales. There's going to be many stories told about you over the next few days and weeks, anyone remember Howards bar? Chocolate Ruby? Here's to you my friend, a true gent 🍻
