It was our absolute pleasure to welcome Melanie Woods and her mum to The Clachan this evening for a very special dinner after her astonishing record breaking 1500m gold medal wins during this year’s Commonwealth Games. Afterwards, the whole village came together to give Melanie the welcome home she deserves. A massive thank you to all involved at Drymen Community for organising this special occasion tonight, and of course, to our amazing community who gathered to show their support.

Congratulations Melanie, we cannot wait to see what you do next! 💙

What a remarkable lady! 🎈

Jean McInnes celebrated her 100th birthday at the Clachan, presented with flowers by Karen Murray Conaghan, Lord Provost of West Dunbartonshire, and a card from the King and Queen delivered by Kenneth Grieve, Deputy Lieutenant for the county of Dunbartonshire.

What an inspiration for us all. It was an honour to look after Jean on such a special occasion. 🎂 ❤️

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Huge thanks to everyone who came down to The Clachan last night for Scotland v Morocco! The place was buzzing, the pies went down a treat, and our raffle winners are £100, £50 and £25 better off.

Aye, the result wasn't quite what we wanted… turns out they couldn't hear us all the way over in the USA. We clearly need to sing LOUDER next time!

Good news — we get another shot. Scotland v Brazil, Wednesday 24th June, kick-off 11pm, right here at The Clachan. Same craic, same pizza, same pies, and we'll need every voice in the building.
