The refurb is on-going.
After some consideration we have decided to remain closed for this season and start afresh-in March next year.
Many have asked about when and will we be opening again which is heartwarming to hear that we have been missed. We look forward to welcoming customers old and new when we re-open. Many thanks, Andy & Caroline

I have been busy doing some refurbishment on the Forge Studio building.
This was originally built in the late 1970’s and was used to educate children about the canals and how they were dug out with pick and shovel by the navvies, and how they operated in the hey day of the industrial revolution.They would then go out on a trip boat named Cypress owned and run by the late Alan Pickin who lived in the house nearby with the lock gate in the garden.
The building had stood the test of time, but, was showing its age, as we all would being left outside all year round. It’s not finished yet, there is still some to do and will look like new when we finish and re open with more to offer than before. We look forward to that day as it’s been hard work all the way.

Hello from Forge Studio.
We are about to re- open following a very wet and soggy few months, let’s hope the rain stops and we get some dry weather and a bit of sunshine to make us all feel better, we definitely deserve it.
So, we open on Saturday 9th & Sunday 10th, but we will only be open until 1pm and the same for each weekend until summer arrives.
I will update again about weekdays once I know what we are doing. Hope to see you all or at least some of you soon.
