A Friday night after-work pint has to be up there with the best pints you can have, closely followed by an airport pint 🍻 What's your favorite pint?

Anyway, it is Friday, and we're back open at 4, serving food and drinks. It also looks like the sun might stay out ☀️

⁉️ Quiz ⁉️

Well, that's summer almost over with 😔 but don't fear because the monthly quiz is here 🦸‍♂️

This Saturday! We've got Alex as a guest quiz master! Still the same format as my quizzes, so don't worry, nothing's changing other than he can read and I can't 😂 he's not told me anything about the theme, so it'll be as much a surprise to me as to all of you!

I've been demoted to food duty this quiz 🫡

We still have a couple of tables left, so why not book in and end the summer holidays with some quiz fun! 🤨

Christmas Fayre Menu Coming Soon... 🎄

We promise not to post too much about Christmas in September, but we thought we'd let you know that our Christmas Fayre Menu will be available very soon 🤩

We will be taking bookings from the 27th of November. We already have a few dates in December where we are fully booked, so please book quickly to avoid disappointment 🎅

Wow! What a day we had yesterday.

Thank you so much to everyone who came along to celebrate 5 years of us being here! We really appreciate your support ❤️

First, a huge massive thank you to the Bassetts for organizing our vehicle show, and to everyone who came along to show! We had a few awards to give out. Crowd favorite went to Muir Hill, most enthusiastic went to the Red Series 3 Land Rover, best display went to Harry Bassett and his plow, and Archie's pick went to the Lambretta scooter. However, all vehicles did end up with some votes, and all awards were close, so obviously, all enjoyed! 🚜 this managed to raise £116 to go to young lives vs cancer. Thank you all for the donations 🙏

Secondly, thank you to Costa and The Fig and Fire for coming along and serving your delicious kebabs! We had great feedback all around 🇨🇾

Thirdly, to Jiggery Folkery for an absolutely fantastic evening of music. It was a brilliant evening, and we hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did 🎸🎙

Finally, thank you to all our staff, past and present (especially to those who worked tirelessly yesterday to keep you all hydrated), and to all of you for supporting us for the last 5 years. We wouldn't be here without you! 🥂 Back open today from 4 pm!

The Fig and Fire are here cooking up a storm! Come along grab your tea and settle in to watch Jiggery Folkery or take it home save on the washing up.

All options have been going down well so far!

Second part of our 5 year celebrations are beginning.....🥂🍻

Quick update for the first part of our day...We are currently getting set up with vehicles for todays show!

Here is a list of what is coming...
One sales trailer, one chap selling honey, hedgelaying tools and Chainsaw collection, 6 classic and vintage cars, 12 Tractors (a mix of modern, classic and vintage and 4 with implements), 1 Jeep, 4 Land Rovers, 1 motorbike and 1 scooter. Please find attached a couple of photos of some of the fantastic cars that will be here! Massive thank you to the Bassetts for organising this part of the event for us!

There will be some forms to fill in for competitions for the vehicles to vote for your favourites. And a milk churn to pop in any donations for the showings to go to Young lives vs cancer.
