September might only just have started, but Christmas planning is officially underway at The Coastguard! šŸŽ„

Our chefs have been busy working on this yearā€™s festive menu, and we can finally share it with you. Three courses for Ā£38, or two for Ā£32, available from 21st November to 30th December.

Happy National Beach Day from our favourite place šŸŒŠ

St Margaretā€™s Bay - our own little Kent postcard and something of a hidden gem šŸ›Ÿ

Rolling waves, white cliffs, pebbles, hidden treasures and some of the best crabbing spots around. And, of course, home to the closest pub to France, with some pretty wonderful views to go with it. (Thatā€™s us, in case you didnā€™t know. šŸ˜‰)

And a National Beach Day shoutout to our friends at the RNLI who do such an incredible job keeping our coastline and everyone enjoying it safe. ā¤ļø

Burger lovers, itā€™s National Burger Day, and that calls for a celebratory burger post šŸ”

In our opinion, Burger Day should be every day, but we'll stick with Mondays for now, when you can enjoy any two burgers, fries and slaw for only Ā£25 from 5pm!

An alfresco evening under the stars, with views over the Channel and one of the most iconic films of all time. Come for the views, stay for a little boogie, and try your very best not to recreate that lift after a couple of drinks, we donā€™t want any accidents. šŸ˜‚

MEET THE CHEF.

This is Jordan, Head Chef at The Coastguard and the man keeping our kitchen moving through those slightly busy summer services šŸ¤Ŗ

We asked him a few quick-fire questionsā€¦

šŸ½ļø Favourite dish on the menu right now? "Itā€™s a tie between the lamb rump with romesco and the king prawn starter - both amazing."

šŸ„© One meat forever? "Beef. One hundred percent." No hesitation. Even giving up bacon couldnā€™t sway him.

šŸ«’ Food he used to hate but now loves? "Olives. Green ones, anyway". Black olives still take some convincing.

ā˜€ļø Best thing about a Coastguard summer? "You get the full summer team again. The kitchen's buzzing, the music's pumping and the banter is relentless. There's so much adrenaline - we all really look forward to the summer here at The Coastguard"

ā„ And the quieter months? "It's a different kind of busy. The focus switches to menu planning and getting geared up for all the Christmas parties. And I love having the space to make our daily specials that little bit more special."

Itā€™s a sad goodbye from us to our lovely Callie, who is leaving The Coastguard for a brand new adventure. ā¤ļø

From the day she joined us, Callie has been a huge part of the Coastguard family ā€“ kind, caring, confident and always there to support the team.

Sheā€™s swapping life by the bay for the classroom as she begins her teaching career, and we couldnā€™t be prouder of her. Those students are very lucky to have her.

Thank you, Callie, for everything youā€™ve brought to The Coastguard. Youā€™re going to be very, very missed šŸ›Ÿ

Every Wednesday from 5pm, itā€™s two steaks for the price of one ā€“ served with a pretty spectacular view over St Margaretā€™s Bay.

Pick your favourite spot, choose your cut, add your sides and sauce, and settle in.

A little feast inspo to get you through the weekā€¦ šŸ›Ÿ

Something for the table? Our nibbles are made for sharing, passing and ordering far too many of, because thatā€™s just always the case, right?

Grab a bottle of something cold, gather your favourite people and settle in for a catch-up featuring a table of crispy potato pavĆ© bites, fish goujons, smoked mackerel pĆ¢tĆ© (an absolute must) and, of course, the baked chorizo. Possibly olives too!

Good food. Good company. Great view. Full belly.
