As we prepare to open for restaurant service for the first time since March now we wanted to keep you up to date on everything we are doing to keep you and us safe for when you return. Firstly, when you arrive at our restaurant you will be required to have your temperature taken by our no contact temperature gun. This is to help ensure our and other guests safety as we welcome you in to our restaurant for our eat in experience. If all temperatures come back as safe we will give you some hand sanitiser to apply and we will show you to your seats. If the temperature shows as abnormal you will be asked to leave and rebook for another day. All tables and chairs have been thoroughly disinfected before guest use, and will be disinfected again after guest leave. We are doing our best to keep everyone safe during these uncertain times, so please bare with us as we try and regain some normality given these uncertain times. If you have any questions regarding our cleaning procedures, or anything at all, please do not hesitate to get in touch and just ask on 01202 490084!!

It’s with a heavy heart that in a time like this we have made the decision to close our dine in facilities at our family restaurant Standard Bengal from midnight tonight for the foreseeable future. This decision wasn’t taken lightly as those who know my Dad will know he even refused to close on Christmas Day 🤣 HOWEVER!!! Our delivery and collection services are still up and running for now!!!! You can order directly from www.standardbengal. co.uk for a delivery and collection, you can also pay online on our website if it is required! Also for NHS staff and any other blue light card holders, we are offering 50% off collection orders, to help the hero’s in this pandemic only on over the phone orders (blue light card must be shown on collection or delivery). Thank you and all the best to the public, and we urge everyone to stay safe and well during this time ❤️
