📖 Stories, songs and a novel with a Highland connection…

We’re delighted to welcome Roz Preston to the Royal Golf Hotel this Friday for an evening celebrating her debut novel, In Repair.

At 7pm on Friday 25 September, Roz will read extracts from the novel, with the readings interspersed by original songs performed by singer-songwriter Andy Murray.

The story follows Cal Mathieson, a former rock star turned boatbuilder based in Plockton, with the novel travelling from the Highlands and Hebrides to Edinburgh, London and Nice.

Inspired in part by Roz’s own experiences as a sailor, boatbuilder and her life in the music industry, In Repair explores relationships, second chances and the ways our past can shape what comes next.
