We’ll be doing lunch tomorrow from 12 with roasties, fresh veg and all the bits you’d expect. A lot of our regulars make a habit of it, and fair enough – it’s a good way to settle into Sunday without much fuss.

We’ve got some proper local news! 🐄

We are now working with Hoopers Farm in Marsh Green to source our beef. Our first delivery arrives this week, half a cow, nose to tail!

Hoopers Farm is just a mile away from us as the crow flies, so it really doesn’t get much more local than that. Their pedigree Sussex cattle graze traditional meadows to produce delicious beef. Pasture to pub. We’ve always said we want to source as close to home as we can, and this feels like a great step in the right direction.

We’re looking forward to working more closely with Hoopers Farm and most importantly, supporting our local farmers and producers wherever we can.

We can't thank Polly and Rod enough for taking the time to show us around their beautiful place and let us see the cattle.

This is exactly where we want to go, good local produce, supporting local farmers and keeping it as close to home as possible. ❤️
