Out today checkin go sheep. I could see something in the grass. First thought a downed lamb. When I got near it was clear.

Now please I’m not against helium balloons. We have had them.
But what we don’t do is let them go outside. I was brought up not to do that. And I bring up my daughter not to do it.

The risk to both stock and wildlife is high. Particularly as there are young lambs and calves around that are investigating different foods.

Please try your best to ensure balloons are not let go outside. And let’s stay clear of the Chinese lanterns as well.

A little bit for the last week or so.
As you can see the tractor worked perfect….for about an acre….
The fairly recent trailer purchase was finally fully loaded….but the road tyre on the truck didn’t like the trip across the field…..time to shop for the knobblys??
But look at the spuds!! They have grown a lot since this pic at the start of the week!!!
And yea the lambs are getting a tad eager!!

Own sheep they said. It will be fun they said.
Not when they jump a river to get to another field and so we have to walk them back home again in the dark!!
😫😒 11 very naughty sheep.

That’s the last load of hay this year! I think around 750 bales made that’ll feed horse’s, sheep, goats, pigs and bedding for chickens all around the Dorchester area.
It’s always one of them funny things, I’m glad it’s over but miss it terribly
