What a fantastic Bank Holiday weekend we had! ☀️🍻
A huge thank you to everyone who came down and supported us — it was amazing to see the place so busy and full of great atmosphere all weekend.

Our new outdoor furniture has already been going down really well and has made the garden feel even more welcoming and comfortable. Add in the lovely flowers blooming around the garden and it’s the perfect spot to relax and enjoy these later sunny evenings with a pint, cocktail, or a nice cold drink outside 🌸🍹☀️

And don’t forget… Street Food Night is tomorrow night! 🌮🍔🔥
We’ll have all the street food favourites available along with a few popular dishes from our normal menu too, so there’s something for everyone.

We’ve still got a few spaces available, so get yourselves booked in and come enjoy another great evening with us — good food, great atmosphere, drinks flowing, and hopefully more sunshine! 😍🍻

Summer is looking busy and we’ve got plenty coming up over the next few months that you won’t want to miss.

Our new menu is now available and already proving popular, alongside our lunchtime 2 Course Special running Monday to Friday — perfect for catching up with friends, a lunch date or a midweek treat.

We’ve also been giving the garden a refresh ready for summer, with brand new garden furniture now in place and more plants going in today to create the perfect relaxed summer atmosphere.

We’ve got some brilliant events lined up too, starting with our Street Food Night on the 28th May. Tables are already getting booked quickly and it’s set to be a fantastic evening with great food and a brilliant atmosphere.

Football kicks off from 9pm on the 17th, 23rd and 27th June, so make sure you join us for all the action, drinks and atmosphere.

Then on the 28th June, our Summer Fete returns and it’s set to be one of the highlights of the summer. Expect a brilliant atmosphere, great food and drinks flowing all day, with DJ Jon playing outside from 6pm–8:30pm to keep the party going into the evening.

Street Food Evening!

Thursday 28th May marks the launch of our first themed night of the year, and we’re bringing something truly special. An evening built around bold flavours, relaxed dining, and a vibrant atmosphere that captures the spirit of street food from around the world.

On the menu:
Chicken Shawarma – rich, aromatic marinated chicken wrapped in soft flatbread with garlic sauce, fresh salad and fries
Lamb Pide – Turkish-style flatbread topped with spiced lamb, served with chips and a cool yoghurt salad
Falafel Burger (Vegetarian) – crisp chickpea fritter with tahini, fresh vegetables and fries
Tortillitas de Camarones – light shrimp fritters paired with patatas bravas and tomato salad
Schwenkbraten – tender pulled pork in a pretzel bun with apple sauce and potato salad

Expect a lively, welcoming atmosphere, great food, and a night that feels like a getaway without leaving town.

The ninth pub on our "50 Shades of Ale" Green Trail is The Saxon Arms Stratton

Built in 2001 this thatched country pub was constructed as part of the village extension and features flagged floors, a real fire and good food. Located next to the village church it is frequented by villagers and tourists alike.
