It is with deep sadness to share with you the passing of Roger Brewer. Long-Time co-owner of Case and Brewer.

For decades, if you came to this shop, you met Roger. He wasn’t just the co-owner of the fish and chip shop - he was the heartbeat of the fish and chip shop.

Roger dedicated his whole working life to this place, and to you. Through rain, through recessions, through the Friday night rush, he was behind the counter with a smile, a chat, and a perfectly cooked piece of cod. He knew your order before you said it. He knew that a chip shop is more than food - it’s where a town comes together.

His dedication wasn’t about business. It was about the people. He believed everyone who walked through that door deserved a hot meal at a fair price, and to feel welcome. He gave this place his all, day in and day out leaving his mark on generations upon generations of the public.

Roger, you have left an everlasting mark on us here at the shop. You lit up every room with your laughter, your smile and your kindness. Thanks to you, all of us here have always felt at home. We will proudly carry forward everything that you have taught us. You will be sorely missed by us all.
