As we reach the end of our first month of full service at Itz Delhi, we wanted to take some time to reflect on all of the happy moments and positive feedback we have received so far.

We are grateful to each and every one of you who have taken a chance and tried our new restaurant. Seeing the smiles on your faces as you enjoy our meals is the best reward we can receive- and we are thankful to all of our customers who have made our dreams come true.

In India we have a principle: Atithi Devo Bhava, which roughly translates to Guest is God. This is a standard we uphold with every customer that walks through our door. Thank you Doncaster!

Did you know that Jalfrezi doesn’t actually refer to a dish, it refers to a style of cooking.

Jalfrezi was developed in the British Raj as a way of turning leftover food into a delectable dish by frying with chilli and onion.

The term Jalfrezi originates from the Bengali term “Jhāl Porhezī”, where Jhāl refers to spicy food, and Porhezī means comparable with dieting.
