Following MCC's campaign to improve public transport for Muckhart, MCC is delighted about this new Demand Responsive Transport (DRT) service linking Muckhart with Dollar and Tillicoultry.
The new service, operated by Wee County Bus on behalf of Clackmannanshire Council, began on 7th September.
🕤 Service operates: Monday–Friday, 9.30am–4.30pm
📞 Bookings: Monday–Friday, 10am–12 noon 𝟬𝟭𝟳𝟴𝟲 𝟮𝟯𝟳𝟴𝟬𝟬
Journeys must be booked at least the day before travel.
The service provides another option for getting to Dollar and Tillicoultry for shopping, appointments, leisure or simply getting out and about.
💳 Concessionary fares are accepted, with fares for other passengers on a sliding scale. Discounted return fares and 10-journey tickets, valid for 28 days, are also available.
Each individual can make up to three return or six single journeys per week.
🚌 Why not give it a try?
The success of a demand-responsive service depends on people using it, so if you live in Muckhart, please consider trying the service and encouraging others to do so.

MCC is also using EDF Burnfoot Wind Farm community funding to explore the potential for a transport link between Muckhart and Kinross, including connections with onward transport through Glenfarg Community Transport Group's proposed Connected Communities pilot. More information will follow as options are explored.
