Each year extraction is getting earlier and earlier. The fields of yellow induce a panic amongst us Bee folk…some have been extracting since the beginning of May, before it sets hard in the comb. For me it’s not such an issue as I live in a poor soil area, so it doesn’t grow well in the fields around me. The willow and hedge row pollen have been abundant and life giving to those baby bees. The trees seem to be dripping with nectar - prompting a healthy harvest for both them and me. Early mornings and late nights this weekend to get it done. Shout out to all those hanging over their spinners to stop them travelling across the room 🥴 We’ll chuffed with my new spinner from 🙏. Nature is amazing 🌳 🐝 🌺
