What an incredible World Cup it’s been! ⚽❤️

A huge thank you to every single one of you who joined us throughout the tournament. Whether you’re one of our regulars who pops in every day, or it was your very first visit, you’ve all helped create something really special.

Thank you for your patience when the bar was busy, for queuing for the toilets with a smile, and for making every matchday such a great experience. The atmosphere wasn’t just about the football, it was about families, friends, and our community.

A massive thank you to our amazing staff. Many of them finish their 9–5 jobs and then come straight to the pub to help us out. Your hard work, energy, and commitment don’t go unnoticed and we simply couldn’t have done it without you.

Special thanks to Phil, Catherine, and Bruiser from Roy Allen for the generous use of the trailer, which played a big part in making the event possible.

And finally, our biggest thanks go to Michael from MAV Hire. The incredible audio and visual setup transformed the experience and helped us create an unforgettable atmosphere for everyone who came through our doors.

We’re so grateful for the support you’ve shown us throughout the tournament. Thank you all for making it one to remember.

🔥 THE SARACENS HEAD BIG WEEKENDER! 🔥

🎶 Saturday – HE’S COMING HOME… HE’S COMING HOME… BUNDY’S COMING HOME! 🎶
We’re welcoming our favourite regular back after following the Three Lions all over America! 🦁🇺🇸

We can’t wait to have Bundy back in The Sarries for the next England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 game, back where he belongs with a pint in hand. 🍺
We’ve got extra screens, Alfie bringing the tunes, the beers will be flowing, and the atmosphere will be bouncing! 🦁🍻

🚴 Then on Sunday from 10am it’s our Annual 25 Mile Charity Bike Ride, raising money for Myeloma UK and the Norwich & Norfolk Myeloma Support Group.

Expect a fantastic day with a BBQ, raffle, bouncy castle, live music from The Rum Ole Rockers, plus DJ Collab – Big Ant & AC Disco keeping the party going all day.

It’s going to be one hell of a weekend…

🚴‍♀️ Annual 25 Mile Bike Ride 2026 🚴‍♂️

Our Annual 25 Mile Bike Ride will be held on Sunday 12th July, leaving The Saracens at approximately 10am.

This year we are raising money for Myeloma UK and the Norwich & Norfolk Myeloma Support Group.

To take part:
🚴 Adults £20
🚴 Children £10
🚴 Or you can take a sponsorship form and raise money that way.

We’ll be welcoming all the riders back to the pub for an afternoon of music from 4.30pm, with The Rum Ole Rockers and a DJ collaboration from Big Ant & AC Disco.

There will also be:
🍔 BBQ
🍟 Chips
🍦Ice Cream
🎟️ Raffle

A huge thank you to all the local businesses who have kindly donated raffle prizes so far. If anyone else is able to donate a prize, please let us know – every contribution is greatly appreciated.

Colin Hill, former landlord of The Saracens Head, sadly died in December 2025.

Colin was impossibly loud, larger than life, and more than a little intimidating — the sort of presence you couldn’t miss even if you tried. He was the kind of man no one ever felt neutral about: some loved him, some couldn’t stand him, and somehow he thrived on both.

Behind that booming voice was a man who was kind and endlessly generous. He had a way of helping you without fanfare — a quiet gesture here, a tough lesson there — always delivered in his own unmistakable style. We learned more from him than he probably ever realised: about people, about hard work, and about standing your ground.

He didn’t just shape the atmosphere of the pub; he shaped the people who passed through it.

He lived loudly, loved fiercely, gave generously, and refused to be anything other than himself.

We will be raising a glass in memory of him on Saturday 7th March from 3pm, and we hope you’ll join us to share stories and laughter.
