Meet Baby G, a baby pygmy goat, who her mother rejected a couple of weeks ago when having twins. We’ve been feeding this little lady by bottle and she loves cuddles and lots of attention. She’ll be making a guest appearance as part of our first Farmers Harvest Festival on 19th and 20th September. Full info to follow, but watch this space and save the date!

An awesome Google review to start the weekend, thanks Michael.

“Andy (the chef’s) food is absolutely incredible. We stopped eating out because we got annoyed at paying high prices for low quality. I could create better at home. Andy’s food is different. The amount of prep that goes into the food is head and shoulders above anything locally. You need to eat here”.

If you love what we do here at The Crown, we’d really appreciate you leaving a Google or TripAdvisor review. There are still some really old photos and reviews on there for the previous owner that have nothing to do with us, and we’d hate for anyone to think that The Crown is as it was before we took it on 😉

🍻 We’ve now got two pint beer steins available, both for Oktoberfest next weekend, but also for those time when you just can’t be bothered to get up to walk to the bar. Just £6 each to buy at the bar, if you’d like your very own 🍺
We now serve all our draught beers in thirds, halves, pints, tasting paddles of three third pints, farmer’s pints (1.5 pints), steins and 4 pint jugs. And if you want it extra cold, just ask for yours in a frosted glass, straight from the freezer…🥶👋

Meet our Chicken Caesar Burger! 🐔🥬

Succulent herby chicken breast, crispy streaky bacon, fresh romaine lettuce, plenty of grated Parmesan and lashings of Andrew’s homemade Caesar sauce, all piled into one seriously tasty burger.

And because apparently there’s no such thing as too much Caesar… it comes with crunchy croutons AND a little pot of Caesar sauce for dipping.

Honestly, it’s a Caesar salad… but better. 😏

🎺 📯 We’re pleased to announce that Abingdon Town’s very own Oompah Band will be performing live our 2026 Oktoberfest event. Expect live performances on the Friday and Saturday of the event, and the best Bavarian playlist ever at all other times!
