Did you know that the popular dessert "Baked Alaska" has been enjoyed for almost as long as our building has been part of The Walled City!

Credited to a creation by New York Chef Charles Ranhofer in 1867, the dessert was said to have been made to celebrate The United States acquisition of Alaska from the Russian Empire.

The tasty treat, made with a mix of crispy meringue and surprising cold inside, continues to be a popular dessert option many years later!

Enjoy our Baked Alaska as the perfect end to your evening meal in The Gown Restaurant - 3-course menu from £44 per guest available daily from 5-9pm.
