On May 25th, 2026, the jazz world lost one of its ultimate titans. Saxophone Colossus Sonny Rollins departed the stage for the last time at the age of 95, leaving behind an astonishing 65-year legacy.
From his legendary days as a sideman for Miles Davis, Thelonious Monk, and Dizzy Gillespie, to his own groundbreaking albums like Saxophone Colossus and The Bridge, Rollins redefined the sound of modern jazz. He was a master improviser and a prolific composer whose tunes—like Oleo, St. Thomas, and Doxy—became instant jazz standards.

Celebrating his incredible legacy, the Rohan Armstrong Quartet takes the stage to perform a vibrant selection of Rollins’ finest works. Expect a dynamic musical journey spanning calypso, samba, bebop, and Afro-Cuban rhythms.
Joining bassist Rohan Armstrong is an exceptional lineup of local talent: rising stars Michael McDowell on tenor sax and Edan Bradley on piano, with longtime collaborator James Anderson on drums.
