A Purpose built Music Academy that aim's to provide people from all walks of life the opportunity to embrace music and the creative arts in a safe, inclusive and inspiring environment. We have a huge variety of services available to individuals, groups, schools and organisations/businesses and pride ouselves on providing a friendly and professional service to suit you!

- Instrumental Lessons- Drums, Guitar, Bass, Ukulele, Vocals, Music Production, Theory & Piano/Keys from Beginners to Advanced.

- Exams- Rockschool, Trinity & ABRSM (incl. theory)

- RockavoX- adult community choir

- MinivoX- junior community choir

- Kit Fit- an energetic & fun way to keep fit for beginners up!

- School Holiday Activity Weeks- jam-packed with fun and games!!! Ages 7-25 years.

- Music Makes Me- weekly workshops specially designed for adults with disabilities & learning difficulties

- Private Therapeutic Music Sessions

- Peripatetic Lessons- instrumental lessons in schools

- Mini Music- specially designed workshops for pre-schools & nurseries

- KS1 & KS2 Music- available to Primary/Junior schools in Norfolk

Our Inclusive Music Sessions offer a calm, dedicated sensory space where children can explore, create, and express themselves through music in their own way.

With a wide range of instruments and child-led exploration, sessions are carefully tailored to suit each child’s individual needs. Music becomes a tool for communication, confidence, emotional regulation, social connection, and sensory discovery.

Delivered by experienced SEND music specialists with a deep understanding of sensory needs, these sessions are suitable for all ages.

Inspired by the remarkable story of Norwich’s Colman family, it’s a celebration of ambition, community, education and a legacy that helped shape Norwich for generations. 💛

We are absolutely over the moon to announce that JDT Music Academy has WON the Community Pride Award at the Breckland Business Awards 2026!

What an incredible moment for us, especially in our 25th anniversary year.

For 25 years, JDT has been about so much more than music. It’s about creating a place where people can belong, be themselves, discover what they’re capable of and feel genuinely valued.

This award belongs to our whole JDT community — our amazing team, students, families, community groups, partners, supporters and everyone who has been part of our journey over the years. You are JDT.

We are incredibly proud of what we have built together here in Dereham, and to have that recognised with the Community Pride Award means more to us than we can possibly say.

A huge thank you to everyone behind the Breckland Business Awards for such a fantastic evening, and massive congratulations to all the other winners, finalists and incredible businesses we had the pleasure of celebrating alongside.

We are absolutely blown away to share that JDT Music Academy has been named as one of the final three for the Community Pride Award at the Breckland Business Awards!

Honestly, we’re still trying to take that in. 🤯
